John began his career working alongside his father and brother, learning the skills and values that would become the foundation of the family business. He later established John Morley Roofing, continuing the family tradition with pride and dedication.
Following in his footsteps, John’s son George entered the trade at a young age, spending weekends and school holidays working alongside his father. Starting from the ground up, he developed extensive knowledge and specialist skills, particularly in traditional roofing, leadwork and welding.
Today, George and his twin brother Joe proudly carry the family business forward, representing the sixth generation of Morley roofers.
Together, they combine generations of traditional knowledge with modern roofing techniques, delivering the highest standards across everything from minor repairs to complete roof replacements.

As I had new tenants moving into one of my properties in Petersfield, I was made aware of a number of stains and leaks within the house. I contacted George as I had been given his details from a friend who had recently used John Morley & Son Roofing. After speaking with George on the phone to arrange a site visit, we met at the property to discuss the roofing works needed. George explained each issue that he found and from there a quote was received and works commenced. From start to finish George and his team were extremely tidy and professional and I’m very happy with the finished outcome.

George was great, he got back to us super quickly following our initial contact. He’s really friendly, and knows his stuff. He gave us the options of repairing the flat roof, after a minor leak, or to replace with a new flat roof system. We opted for the new roof system and he was available to carry out the work at the end of the following week. He completed the work in a day and took photos to show us the finished job, which we were extremely happy with. George is polite, prompt, neat and tidy and work was very reasonably priced. I cannot recommend John Morley and Son Roofing high enough. I am so happy with the work they did to my leaking chimney stack. You can tell they take great pride in their work. Reliable friendly team. I would recommend them completely. Photos of the whole process throughout work being carried out, which is very reassuring. Thank you for making my old leaking chimney look brand new once again.

From the moment they came to give an estimate through to the completion of the job John and his son could not have been more professional. The work was carried out quickly and it was great to see someone enjoying what they did so much - singing, joking and laughing all day. They also corrected some of my guttering adding a new piece ‘just in case’ at no extra charge. We now have a leak free roof. Could not recommend them highly enough.

Having inspected my roof, George and Joe provided a detailed description of the work that was needed to be carried out and gave a very reasonable quote. They arrived when they said they would, were professional at all times and ensured the property was perfectly tidy before they left. Well, what can I say? Professional, tidy, understanding, nothing but quality from quote to installation. George worked around us and the weather to make things happen.
